Of course you can dislike a president. You just have to deal with the fact that he is a president and will be in that position for the next 4 years. If he breaks the law, he can be impeached and if he still has one's disapproval, one can simply vote for someone else. What's the big deal?

The message was clearly directed at people who have only become citizens or are yet to become one. Perhaps not all of them come from democratic countries and are being rightfully told to respect the outcome of an election.
