When her stans (side-eye Brunette Ambition) say it's ok because the word supposedly has a different meaning in Europe (which is stupid since every minimally-educated person here knows the definition)
On top of that, she used it at least twice: in 2001 AND 2015. Racist ho
Not saying that it's ok to use it, but there's a black guy in my school and people call him the n word and he doesn't find it offensive at all, he's okay with it. I don't think people here know how offensive the word is.
context is what matters. Just the word itself is not enough. What was the sentence bJoke used it in?
She basically said "sound is the n***** of the world" in reference to the Lennon song "Woman is the N***** of the World" to describe visuals as being more valued than sound. It doesn't make it right but it doesn't make her a racist either.
So TBH if you look at my initial reactions to Lemonade, I was stanning up and down and calling album of the past couple years and what not. While it's still her 2nd best album easily, replay value is its main detractor and the reason ST remains superior. I replayed ST for like 2 years +, Lemonade not nearly as much. IDK why this is. i am a little sick of her and Jay's soap opera. So maybe that is affecting my perception a bit.
