I don't think Lane Boy got a radio release though, it was just a promo single before the album with a video. Plus the same thing happened to Ride and it was fine being re-released a year later
Interestingly, they didn't actually re-release "Stressed Out" and "Ride". They just started smashing on their own, thanks to Spotify, which prompted a radio release. Some stations at the time even started playing "Holding On to You" thinking it's a new release.

He does that on purpose. I don't know why. He sounds bored (tired?). He sounded like this on SNL a few weeks ago. :/
