They do. NYC is not all it's cracked up to be IMO. There are significant improvements to the subways they could make but are not making. They also allow landlords to rent out literal unsanitary dumps to people. I think the city needs to step in and curb the real estate over-investment that is going on here. It's not good for the city long term. It's also not good area for artists and creative types to thrive in. It's like everyone is living to work and working to live barely getting by. Other cities really haven't caught up to NYC yet and are still a ways off but NYC better be careful because if Texas/Florida/Georgia and California ever got their acts together those places could really give NYC a run for its money.
