This question popped into my head after that Ariana Grande thread. What is it take for someone to be consider a main pop act? According to what I've read here the singer needs:
At least one #1 as a main act in the US
An album that sold at least 300k (pure sales)
More than two albums or at least two #1 single from the same album
Am I right? Does the same applies to men or the standards are different because they usually sell more??
