Last time I checked the iPhone is the fastest, and any feature Android introduces is hardly "ahead of their time" if they make sense now.
Being ahead would be 64 bit or removing the old AUX cable. Being ahead doesn't mean it's always good (USB C only, no headphone jack) so it's not really a compliment.
Being ahead is making a move that really doesn't make sense now, but for the future. If it works with today's tech, it's today tech
And Customization comes at the cost of poor security. So you win some, you lose some.
