Wtf? How do you get assaulted by an officer then arrested for assault?

Disgusting. It happened in Arizona though, so it's not surprising.

****ing disgusting piece of **** hitting a citizen in the face like that for no reason. And a WOMAN at that. Who he didn't even have a warrant for. And his pig colleague just standing there pretending like nothing happened And people wonder why everyone hates cops. ****ing pigs in uniform. Is the woman at least white? I can't tell from the video quality, but if she is, hopefully the cop will at least have a better chance of being convicted. We can't keep letting cops get away with this ****.

If he didn't have that warrant like they said, then yes, it was completely for no reason because he had no business arresting her without one. Also, all of that aside, she wasn't even putting up much of a fight. There is no reason for him to be sucker punching her in the face, especially when there are two cops on the scene that are perfectly capable of subduing her without the use of excessive force.

If she was innocent she would have been cleared as soon as she got to the jail. She caused more problems for herself by being difficult. I'm not saying that justifies her getting punched in the face, but we don't know what happened before they started filming.

Of course this is Arizona Hopefully the general attitude of law enforcement gets a little better with Arpaio out the door

It seems like she's not all there (mentally) or simply intoxicated. Even after her friends tell her to stop resisting arrest, she still doesn't listen.

The officer punched her as she was involved in an assault and he can claim she was already bruised before she was arrested. She's lucky someone was filming the arrest.

If she had just let them arrest her after he punched her and complained at the station, along with evidence, it's more likely that they wouldn't have pursued the previous incident since the latter is more serious. Instead she carries on resisting like the dumb bitch she is, further incriminating herself.

It's not uncommon to want to resist or want to see a warrant for your arrest if you feel it is unjust...

She's asking to see a warrant when it starts. I doubt if she punched him or anything like that she would still be standing to even ask him that repeatedly. He was certainly ready to taser her even after punching her in the face.

That cops needs to be fired asap. I can't judge but that seemed to be uncalled for, specially for the woman being so calm.
