what on Earth are you defending this person for?
he had a line that he was supposed to deliver - it wasn't ad libbed it was a planned part of the play - and she stopped him from delivering the line
in doing so, she excluded him from the play and embarrassed him in front of his parents and his peers. even if he weren't disabled this exclusion would be cruel and heartbreaking but the fact that he's autistic makes it worse considering people with disabilities often face social exclusion starting at a very young age. also it's not unreasonable to assume that the teacher excluded him based on his status as an autistic person because she was afraid of him messing up the play. even if not, it was still a messed up thing to do
