Unnamed sources told conservative media site The American Spectator that Hillary Clinton went into a “rage” on election night after it was evident she was going to lose to Donald Trump.
She screamed obscenities, punched furniture and threw things at staff, secret service officers told the news site’s source.
“They’re still counting votes, and every vote should count,” Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta said in the early hours of Nov. 9, subbing in for Clinton on the stage at the end of election night, while her loyal followers awaited word. “Several states are too close to call, so we’re not going to have anything more to say tonight.”
Clinton’s anger may have been fuelled by what happened days before, as her camp was starting to realize that a loss was possible.
Sources told the Daily Mail that Clinton and husband Bill had a huge fight on the phone. Bill was reportedly seen throwing his phone off the roof of his penthouse in Arkansas.
