We’re going to be TOOTing and BOOTing the runway fashions each week on the main stage of ATRL’s Drag Race!

Aciid:This week the queens graced us with their presence in their finest gowns for this week’s runway of Elizabethan Eleganza.

Carbon: First up, Nina Williams

I had to double take this wasn’t Pixel’s entry. This is an unexpected entry from you, which is a pleasant surprise! I think this is a cute look overall, although I would’ve like to see something a bit more twisted and Elizabethian when you think of evil lady - a witch route might have been more appropriate. Still, I don’t hate it. Good work! TOOT.

I really like the direction you took for this runway. It stands out from the rest and it’s quite well done. Instead of going for a more royal look you went with this peasant witch and it totally works. I’m missing the shoes here tho. Anyway TOOT.

Uh… is this really Elizabethan? This looks more Wild West saloon gal. I’m confused overall really - this is only 2 pictures put together, and there isn’t really any cohesion between them. This just feels extremely uninspired compared to the rest of the entries. BOOT.

I’m not 100% sure this is true to the fashion era, and since this isn’t a modern take I’m flip flopping on it. I like the look tho, but you have this history of not staying in the theme. There’s a difference between going outside the box and totally doing what you want. Trust me, I wasn’t conventional with my runways at all but they still stayed on topic. I like the dress and particularly the way the hair is done with the pearls and all. I will TOOT it, but yeah take my advice.

Ooo. This is a fun concept that I wish would make more girls realise their runway entries are the place to creatively explore. It’s mostly in theme with the runway, and completely fitting with your character. The little details like white contacts and bouquet of flowers are the things that distinguishs you between someone who does or doesn’t spend too much time thinking about their runway, even though it counts for 33% of their score. TOOT.

Love this. The story with the poem and the wedding dress is slaying me. I also love how you stayed a bit true to your character with the lenses, but did something different. The white makeup is my favorite part. The dress is nice and you chose your accessories well. TOOT. Those shoes must go though.

I’m pretty torn with this look, since the only Elizabethan influence I can really see is the silhouette of the dress, which is to be expected since every other girl has used it. It’s a pretty fun look and aligns with your character, but it feels like too much of a clash to give it a TOOT. You’ve gone for a classic, almost regal silhouette but tried to push it as some kinda prostitute vibe. You say you’ve given your look “fire feathers” with no real explanation as to why they’re there. The colour scheme is interesting, but that’s the only thing I really appreciate about the look. This is a BOOT I’m afraid.

I honestly really like this. Must be my favorite of your drawings. For once I feel like you took it down a notch and didn’t make it this whole spectacle while still doing you. Unlike Carbon I like the modern take with the prostitute vibe. The colors are my only complaint because they’re too in your face and aren’t really on par with the era. TOOT.

Yaaas. This is a straight up TOOT. Very fun and cute look. I’m kinda getting bored with repeating myself except to say you really killed the challenge this week. C’mon top 3!

You killed it this week. Out of the several reveals you’ve done I think this is the best accomplished one and the one with the most purpose. All the elements you picked are great and I’m specifically loving the hair. The vision of you taking off the dress and slaying the runway with the hoop skirt and the lingerie are a slay. Love love this. TOOT.

I actually like this a lot. Apparently you’re gonna get clocked because of a certain image but whatever! This is very chic and refined which I expect from you. Would’ve maybe appreciated a different colour scheme from you, but I guess google images is a tough place. Oh well. TOOT.

This was one of my favorite looks on the runway. I think it was a bit underrated as I read the critiques. Yes, it’s simple but it didn’t have to be a circus. Not mad at the headcage either, tbh that McQueen runway is a slay and I would have been surprised if no one used it. You picked a great dress, great shoes and it just works. TOOT.

I ****ing LOVE this look so much. So so much. Gareth Pugh literally makes me vagina tremble. I think you REALLY stretched the theme here since it doesn’t feel Elizabethan at all, but I appreciate the #nerve for trying. This is 100% a TOOT. Poor everyone else!

To be quite honest I feel like this is a reach. There were several ways to do modern, but you went way too out there in my opinion. I sort of get what you were trying to do, but even loving Gareth, I can’t toot this. BOOT. Sucks that you did this on this particular runway, because it slays.

No description? Only two references images? What is this? Were you rushed for time this week or something? Again, this feels lazy/underdeveloped. I shouldn’t be having to tell you this on the fifth week, but you should almost never take the challenges on the nose and aim to do just fine. You should be going above and beyond and doing something only YOU can do. This isn’t it. Still, this is about the fashion, and I extremely safely TOOT this look. Next week, you won’t be so lucky if you think you can get away with no description + quick photoshop.

You picked an outfit that was way too obvious and one of the first results on google. I think that’s lazy. However, I don’t think that should matter. What I do hate is that just like your entrance look this has like 0 alterations to it. You just stuck a new head on it and called it a day. I don’t like the style of hair either. If picking a nice editorial picture is all it takes, then there’s a lack of creativity. So even if it’s a nice outfit I have to BOOT it.

Hmm! This is a very interesting look. I’m pretty glad you’ve taken the advice and done something very daring and unique. I feel bad for BOOTing you here, since I think this is very fairy tale and not that Elizabethan. The look itself is right, just not for this runway. Keep doing looks like this though, since this is one of the more memorable things you’ve presented.

Kinda like the fairytale theme, but at the same time I do feel like you’re reaching for the stars. The iconic bird outfit is great, and just like Kunty, had you done this in a theme that fit better I would have been on the floor. But it’s just not clicking with me so BOOT.

There were several more accurate representations from that runway. I understand that you wanted to do a modern take, but like I said I feel like the inspiration behind it is a reach. Even in a geometrical/architectonic way I'm not seeing it and I stand by it.
