During my first year of college I worked as a cashier at an athletic gear store, and yeah, this is 100% factual. Never saw a POC buy a pair of New Balance sneakers, honestly. ALL 40+ year old white people, especially dads (and not daddies).
I've had my New Balance 574's for over 3 years and they're still going. They're so much more comfortable than other brands like Nike or Adidas.
Depends on what you get. The most comfortable Nikes are probably Nike SB. The only New Balances I've ever had were for track practice back in '09. The support was good and kept me from getting shin splints twice.
It's true that only white people (and Asians) wear them.
