SO... after a few spins...

It's interesting because it's not just like the album is a throwback. Its sound is SO rooted in early 90s production values that its reception could go either way. Some people might praise how well it emulates that style, and some people are probably going to take him to task for "failing to put a modern spin on it" or something.

I personally really like the album. Give me something 90s and I'll eat it up. I think he did a great job at pulling off the right mood and I love the breezy, laid-back vibe of the album. Top 40 sounds so urgent and unhappy these days, so I'd love to see some of these songs move up the charts and calm things down a bit.

I love Chunky studio version (good thing I didn't listen the live version so much on purpose)

I don't know why you all complaining about Chunky, it does sound like the live version except for the couple high notes that Bruno did at the snl performance.

He still does high notes in the studio version, we all know Bruno's songs sound better live.

I would love videos for every song on the album I could see such campy and goofy videos for Chunky, Finesse and Perm

Disappointed with this one after the first listen

It deserves a few spins more obviously cause most of the songs sound almost the same

But yeah... Lowkey his worst record at this moment, which still doesn't mean it's tragic but...

The songs don't sound the same lol, it is a very cohesive album and it goes on so smooth. I can't wait for his live performances.

It literally took me just two listens to love this and realize how each song is made with a lot of effort, everything from the production, Bruno's vocals and the harmonization between Bruno and his band members.

On the second listen I am also appreciating calling all my lovelies, it reminds me of a song that Bruno did messing around with phil, it's called My space a funny little thing, older hooligans will know what I am talking about.

The more I listen the more I like the songs.

My taste varies...flop albums or not.

OT: The most cohesive album of the year

My problem with this album is he took sounds from the past without updating them to the present, so he ends up just giving credence to criticism of him just being a throwback cover artist.

24K and Versace are definitely my faves (also Chunky kinda), otherwise... disappointed isn't the right word but I'm kinda just shrugging lol.
