Remarkable recovery of dying, abandoned dog who’s face had been ravaged by flesh-eating maggots

- Damage was so extensive he was on the brink of an excruciating death
- But Animal Aid Unlimited in Rajasthan, India have now healed his wounds

But after three months of treatment by a charity in Rajasthan, India, the dappled brown dog is able to walk again and open his eyes - which were swollen shut.
The pooch had powder put into his the holes in his face to kill the maggots, which were then removed one-by-one as he lay sedated.

He was surrounded by flies and lying in pain inside a stone shack when he was rescued by charity Animal Aid Unlimited
