This song is sooooooo boring.

And a radio station I listened to back in 2010 played the original every hour for about 6 months and I hated it as well, and people back then raved about the song saying its amazing, and now the same happens. I don't understand it. Even with electronic production it was boring.

Why do people like it? Is it the lyrics? It's not very catchy, no version is good for parties, doesn't make you feel happy, not funny or anything. I think it must be the lyrics that make people like it tbh.

There was another song called Impossible by Shontelle where exactly the same happened. A boring original version that loads of people raved about that radio overplayed for about 6 months, then a couple of years later another equally boring cover version got popular. It's stupid.

I guess it depends on what radio stations you listen to, but back in 2010 I used to listen to a station called Capital FM in the UK and it played Robyn's version TO DEATH, literally for months. It was getting the same rotation as stuff like California Gurls, Airplanes, Rude Boy, etc. I reckon the station must have been paid to play it or the guy who owned the station just loved the song because it never made sense that they played it so much. I used to listen to the station every day back then and was so frustrated whenever it came on.
