I think PCD's dance-pop album would've been the magnum opus of the dance-pop era if the label put 100% effort into it.

KL is a good album, but I feel like they would've given PCD the absolute best.

I have to agree with this.

I remember when 'When I Grow Up' was released, and hearing the radio hosts basically say, "And yep, it's ONLY Nicole singing AGAIN..."

From that moment, I'd hoped that this time around, maybe the other girls would get to sing a bit? Maybe that way no one will be able to bash on Nicole and the group for her being the sole vocalist (of a girl group!).

Listened to the album, there wasn't much. So I hoped that songs Melody was featured on would be released as singles. Even if it were a song like 'Magic' where she has one ad-lib! I thought, at least then people can't say it's ONLY Nicole.

The people spoke, they wanted more of the other dolls. So for an even more successful second era, management should've listened. For me, that's what would've worked. And I loved Melody's parts!! They were climactic; they were special.

And I don't believe Nicole was gonna just leave...was she? I'm pretty sure in interviews she said she would do another dolls album after hers, keeping songs in mind for the next pussycat dolls album. Even if Her Name Is Nicole was a success, could they have really just continued PCD without her?

Melody and Carmit had various parts on PCD, and same would have most likely happened with their 2nd album had they gotten the time for the album.

Nicole and PCD shared the same management and record label, when Nicole's singles tanked in the US, the label forced her back to PCD, and used material of the already paid recent sessions for her solo record, along with a few new recordings and rush released a new Pussycat Dolls 2nd era.

Had Nicole been able to release HNIN, even with dissapointing results, I feel the 2nd PCD album would have featured more vocal distribution like Beep, Bite The Dust, Painted Windows and Top Of The World.

I still think the management were fools for not pushing for a 2nd PCD era, soon after the debut era though, it also would have given Nicole a better steppingstone, along with the features that she was on throughout that period.

Nicole was the best for leading the group because of her experience and vocal ability..

I agree with most that if they have given other girls some singing parts here and there, it would have been as bad..

The funny part is that, people complained about Nicole but they still bought their records. Can you imagine if they were on Little Mix type of vocal slayage? They'd be HUGE...

Anyway, blaming Nicole is just madness.. Poor girl was just doing what she was hired to do.

Great point. She prob had to feel like she had to go overboard because of the very few chances she got. Unfortunately, it made her live vocals worse.

But yeah, she's probably not lying about how it went down...b/c of how she acted when she was given an opportunity.
