When I studied at university in Milan, I would always invite my friends to go out and eat Japanese every week. With the all you can eat formula, you'd only spend around €15-25, which is more than reasonable. Still, they would often say that they didn't have the money for it and in a month, we'd eat Japanese all together only once. They all love Japanese food, they all love my company... But they're poor, and this is why I often had to go to the restaurant alone. Poor people can be really annoying, which is exactly why now, as a philantropist, I dedicate my time and heart to those who cannot afford common things.
Can you relate to the situation described by the Italian philantropist Margherita Zamboni? I honestly feel sorry for my friends when I invite them out and they say that they can't afford an €10 meal. And when I'm like, don't worry I'll pay for y'all, they treat me like a God which is very satisfying.
I suppose when you have poor friends you want to do stuff with, it could be annoying that they never have any money. However, I don't think that particular person would be annoying unless they're all like "Hey, we should go to Starbucks" and then you do, THEN they drop they fact that they don't have money. However, not only poor people do that type of thing.
Anyway, TL;DR - No, poor people aren't annoying - the circumstances that come from that fact can be.
You both sound like such great and selfless people.
Thank you for your honest, non-sarcastic compliment! Philantropists who dedicate their lives to the others, as well as people who offer a hot meal to the disadvantaged ones, are indeed great and selfless.
Don't be airheaded. I have friends who are not as well off as I am and I always invite them to places I know they can afford or I make a beautiful dinner at my place and invite them over.
Then I have friends who I know can splurge 100 euro for a meal and we go out together.
I see no problem with either one of those two and I love all my friends equally
Hey at least she became a philanthropist so it seems like her feelings came from a positive place. Better than becoming an elitist who keeps all her money to herself.
