If that school has a good program, then try using that to convince your parents. I told my parents how I wanted to be an engineer and that's CU has all of these great programs and they end up letting me go. If you want cheap tuition (in state tuition), then you'll have to stay in that state for a year to be counted as an instate. So if you do end up staying in that state for a year, the tuition should be the same as your home state (only the first year would be costly... but if you find, I mean have a daddy who's willing to help a sis out, then it's not too bad
