I had a class once that had everyone - everyone - agree to get all zeros, which would give everyone a 100%. Somehow, everyone participated. I told them afterward that one person broke their little "deal," and earned a 100%, meaning the rest of the class earned their zeros. Chaos and backstabbing took over the rest of the class.
It wasn't until class the next day that I said no one got 100%, but threw out the exams anyway. The tests were voided and the final paper became double the points. I think everyone learned a lesson that day.
