keep the electoral college. you cant have smaller states feeling absolutely unrepresented since an outright lack of representation is justification for secession. keep the electoral college and maybe redistribute the electors but the real change that needs to be mad imo is the winner take all system that the majority of the states adhere to. whatever percentage of the states votes a candidate receives should be the percentage of that state's electors that they earn. change that

If they get rid of the electoral college then I believe they should make it mandatory for citizens to vote in the election as well (face fines if you don't, etc.) That way we can properly see what the majority of the country wants
