Sometimes, but vocal ability doesn't equate to quality, this has been shown again and again.
Vocally, Rihanna is about as average as it gets. It's a fact her technique is terrible, and that's if she decicdes to actually sing.
On her best day she's still nothing to write home about after 11(?) years as a pop star.
