WW1 happened because Germany wanted colonies, it wanted more piwer which was pretty usual back then. Wars were literally nothing special just a century ago.
WW2 happened because after WW1 Germany was in shambles. People were angry that they lost, moreover the country was forced to pay a little bit too greedy debts to France and England. Their economy was in ruins, a damn bread costed like 10 billion reichsmarks iirc. So Hitler used their anger, fueled it even with his own and started the worst war in history.

But. Thanks to WW1 and WW2 pacifism became a thing. Now we know the price of wars and we try to avoid it. Ok, not really but you get the idea. Our world is completely different thanks to previous two World Wars.
And the third one isn't happening, especially not a nuclear war.
Stop feeding your fears, hatred will not prevail in any country as long as there are those who fight it.

Long story short, WW1 happened because at first it wasn't something special for the world of the early XX century. WW2 was a product of WW1 and greed of Treaty Of Versailles.

Brexit and Trump being elected are, of course, more of a tragedies of our times.

The UK will look to the United States and become their 51st state, while France will rampage thru the continent, eventually facing Russia. 3 Satan2 bombs will be thrown at it, eradicating the entire continent from the planet's face. After 680 million Deaths in Europe, Russia will unite with China and Iran and attack the United States. Japan falls within 3 days, after Tokyo has been destroyed by 360 nuclear bombs, then Los Angeles and the entire San Andreas plateau tries to evacuate almost 65 million Americans, but it's too late, 6 more Satan2 bombs are thrown at the west coast, destroying it completely, also killing 110 million Americans. Texas seceedes from the United States, but can only hold 20% of its eastern territory as viable land. Then Russian battleships push thru, 400 nuclear bombs destroy New England completely, the entire east coast collapses, another 150 mllion deaths. Trump still hiding. But then...

Australia joins in, together with the African Union and South America, especially Brazil, Russian and Chinese push is stopped. India attacks Tibet and Pakistan. Israel is bombing Iran back into 1627. Isis dissolves. Trump takes all the credit, however, Australia accepts 45 million American refugees and leads the free world. But then Canada gets jealous. 99% of Canadian territory is destroyed by Russia's former attacks on the United States. Nuclear winter eraicated 99% of the population on the northern hemisphere.

All of this because of Brexit. Thanks for nothing.
