As far as public perception goes in the US -- regardless of how you self identify -- if you're a black biracial and not white passing (just like President Obama), you're considered black and she will be treated according to that. That's just reality and it will be a much steeper climb for her being perceived as a black woman. And it will be even harder for Kamala as the daughter of two minority immigrants in this post Trump emboldened nationalist take our country back climate. Piling that on top of the fact that she's in an interracial marriage -- there are a lot of rural white that resent tf out of that and see that as one of the main ways whites have been ~losing the country. Disgusting but people do think that way.

I would love to see her go that far, but it's a reach right now.
That said, I think the best bet is Elizabeth Warren for the first (any time soon, anyway) but she won't run.
