If we've been dating long term then chances are I've said something that is in complete opposition of his views regularly and would wonder why I didn't find out sooner.
People come into their worldview as a build up, not a sudden switch. So at this stage, it's pretty damn hard to change his mind.
It's up to you if you want to try to compensate the differences with other means, sometimes differences are what make a relationship interesting. But too big of a difference is toxic.
