Salute was their peak artistically so far, the album was more experimental and mature. They still show signs of that sound and image throughout Get Weird and this era so far aswell, but they don't take it to that point, which is sad. It feels like Salute should have came after Glory Days, if we talk about overall evolution of them as group, which is odd

THIS. It just makes me feel like they weren't happy with Salute's direction and they actually want to be making fun music. In terms of evolution, DNA -> Glory Days -> Get Weird -> Salute In this album's defence, Get Weird is their most consistent but least cohesive album so at least this one sounds a lot more cohesive. I hated that Get Weird had such an awful title, "Weird People" was a horrible song and those acappella harmony closers just felt so gimmicky.
