For real though, Idaho is ****. I live in Boise where millennials and even most older people are liberal democrats (if you look at Idaho's voting map, you'll notice Boise is one of the three tiny clumps that votes blue), the city itself is a great place to live and you'd never guess there's a high, scary armed conservative mass population over yonder, but the amount of conservative republicans outside the city "trump" anything my city tries to accomplish.

I'm sure a lot of young people didn't vote in those states because they're always red anyways.

Couer d'Alene is lovely, but yeah...that's a mess. To be fair though, I doubt the rest of the nation's millenials will stay as blue as that map indicates as they age. Most people tend to just turn into their parents once they hit a certain age, but I guess we'll see -- I still have hope that we'll be far better off once the boomers/gen x-ers are no longer relevant voting clusters.
