After this election, ATRL is dying. Everything has become about politics and we're all running around scared as ****. I used ATRL as a site to have fun, to escape reality, to cathartically battle other stans.
Now it feels like I just can't escape the horror – Facebook, Twitter, other forums...
Please mods, help. Create a politics tab and keep all political discussions there. Don't show those threads on the main page, don't show them at the top of the page where we see the three latest posts.
Help us calm down the hysteria and find some peace in this crazy time.
Every forum. Filled with politics and that shiz. Like I have enough of that irl, I come to these forums to forget about reality a bit and just joke around and have fun. I said something like this on gagadaily and they all jumped on me with "ITS OURR RIGHTTT TO TALKK ABOUT IT!1!!".
These petty stan wars seem so small now since Trump was elected as the 45th President. I'm sure things will get back to normal eventually. I also think there will be more political talk than usual the next few years due to Trump and his messiness.
I live in a red state where the Internet is really my only outlet to worry and talk to other like minded people. The site will return to normal soon but some of us really need this right now
Well this is the biggest American political upset of all time and this site is US-centric, obviously it's gonna be the main thing talked about for a while and take precedence over chart runs and celeb feuds, just like any other online space.
Sis don't worry in a week there will be everything the same as before. People will just calm down and realize their life is the same lol. + not everyone on ATRL is from USA anyway
The AMAs will get ATRL back to what it is. And by time The Grammys and superbowl come it will be an all out bloodbath on here. Youll have your stanwars back soon enough.
Nah. The politics talk has always been around and I'm sure it will fade within the next few weeks if anything major doesn't happen. Plus, you don't have to go into those threads.
Well, we discuss every important topic here, I do not see why politics would not be discussed just like the rest. Plus, it is not only discussed on forums, it is discussed everywhere, in every country for at least 1/2 more weeks.
I think this is the first time ATRL has ever been alive and truly woke - finally we're talking about something important, and not whether Katy Perry's fragrance name shades Taylor or not etc.
