I agree.
I'm not blaming her for not having revealed who she was voted for; I can understand the fact she wanted to keep it a private matter because after all, she's totally entitled to do so and that can even be respectable.
But I'm definitely disappointed that she didn't even speak out about the importance of the election and didn't use the chance to speak out on behalf of all the women who may have been abused and disrespected by Trump and really shine a new light and make a point on the feminism she sold us during the whole
1989 era.
It can't be only about your brand, Taylor.
Again, no one forced her to self-proclaimed herself as a feminist. It was all about it during the whole
1989 because "look, I don't need a man, I have my girlfriends and we really support each other and there's a special place in hell for women who don't support each other". OK Taylor, but it's also great to speak out when it doesn't only concern you. It's not about being "qualified" enough, it's about speaking with your own words about causes that matter to you (aka. feminism).
It wouldn't have changed anything to the results for sure (it would be ridiculous and unfair to think that) but when you have that much influence and followers on SM and you stay silent during the whole presidential election of your own country, then you just missed a chance to make a little difference imo.
