Because God is real. A lot of scientific explanations were mentioned in Quran long long ago before people got them. You do the math.

It's abnormal to believe in fairies/magic/etc. (which is just as flawed as religion), but you're seen as mentally challenged when you don't believe in a higher power, of which its existence hasn't been proven once, just like magic

Well for starters, not all countries are as developed as the western countries, many are still poor/have constant conflicts that keeps sitting them back years (decades and even centuries), and religion plays big part of most of this (not necessarily directly causing wars although sometimes it might happen, but it affects other parts of people's lives and contribute to the problems)

I don't believe in "God", I would love to believe in such a thing, however there's been no proof that such a thing exists and the more we learn about ourselves, our planet and solar system etc., the less real God seems to be.
