Political correctness is just another meaning for respect. And decency.
Is it really that ****ing hard to be nice to people who just want to be who they are? I'm not talking about child molesters and killers. I'm talking about gay people and trans people and muslims and everybody else who the world spits on. Is it wrong to demand that people chose their words more carefully?
Or are we okay using racial slurs to refer to minorities? Are we okay with calling effeminate gay men fairies and Nancy boys? Is that so ****ing wrong? I want to know. I really ****ing do. Is respecting people who are marginalized that difficult that we can't change our ingrained speech patterns?
Maybe I'm a damned idealist but I don't think that honest people should be denied the respect they deserve

Very well said

It's really that simple. You don't even have to like someone, but it doesn't hurt you to respect him/her.
You might not agree with some of his/her views, opinions, actions, the way they act, the way they live their lives. But that doesn't give you the right to throw bricks at them. Just let them be.
I'm completely with you on this one.
