Does anyone fear for their future under President Trump?

The hate he and his supporters breed will surely influence the popular opinion of the American public, especially towards sexual minorities. I just envision in the near future that our right to same sex marriage will be stripped away and I will never have a chance to marry the person I truly love or be able to be myself in public.

I live in the South so of course there are tons of Trump supporters. I constantly overhear people talk badly about minorities and spread ignorance/vileness/hatred. I honestly am saddened, I know for sure that this will set back social equality to another generation. It'll get better eventually, but this is a huge leap back. Ignoring the politics, to the very core hatred has won out today.

I'm a gay minority living in the deep South. I try to be strong every day but I know I'll be facing the brunt of it in the near future. I know people like to be overdramatic over the politics and whatnot, but I'll be honest, I'm ****ing terrified.

Harassment is definitely something you should go to the authorities for, but there's always that general level of homophobia/racism that you feel living in the South. Side comments here and there that honestly bring me down since my job deals with constantly talking to different people. With Trump, it'll probably intensify.

Yes. I think he will give right-wing parties in Europe a boost. I hope he doesn't take gay marriage away. I don't think that he cares about gay marriage but Mike Pence does.

With the republican president, house, senate and possibly Supreme Court, then it can happen.
