Not really online voting, but I believe having a standard/universal ID for voting all over the country is the best idea. I'm surprised the US doesn't really make it easier for its citizens to vote, automatic and also having the Election Day be a holiday are just common sense.
In fact, forget about registration. You get your "voting" ID at 18 and if it's not expired then you should be able to just show up at your precinct and vote.
