Discussion: People will die over this election

I cant help but feel like doom is impending on the USA, this country is more divided than ever and people are truly hateful and at their wits end over this election. Its so hostile, its ugly and its depressing. This country is so gun happy, we lose thousands of innocent, unsuspecting lives anually at the hand of weapons. We have a president who wants to bypass common sense gun laws, who is supported heavily by the group who holds their firearms so dear to them.

I feel like a lot of innocent lives are going to be lost, there is going to be hostility and anger. I hope that my mother is happy with her voting for Donald Trump after her gay son loses his life.

I was actually thinking the opposite. If Trump would have lost the Gun happy hillbillies will have gotten more angrier and hateful and would cause more violence.

There would have been chaos either way, whether it's angry Trump supporters having lost to Hillary or Trump supporters feeling more powerful than ever - similar to the rise in hate crimes in the United Kingdom post-Brexit. Both US/UK divided.

Now the affects of the election will impact other countries and societies where people want to have change too, again, similar to the UK. Except this time it's the most significant political moment in modern history. Western society is ****ed.
