I hate that the bar is set so low for Donald, that the fact that he didn't go full nuclear meltdown means "he won" the debate.

Please can we raise the expectations for whomever is going to be the leader of the free world. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Hillary still won, but it was an underwhelming performance, and personally I blame the format. The Town Hall format is just an awkward, forced environment that just never works.

Hillary. The point of the debate is to help your chances in the general election, Trump appealed very well to his base and no one outside of it. Hillary looked presidential and was under attack the entire time, which has historically made her more favorable in the eyes of the public. If you decide who won based on who was more aggressive, fine, then Trump. But, this debate did nothing to help him get elected, which is what he needed, so Hillary by far.
