Okay so I know there were lots of discussions about this last year with the whole Rachel Dolezal thing and I understand that what she did was offensive to a lot of people.
But honestly I still don't fully understand why transracial couldn't be a thing? Why is it so different from transgender? Can someone explain this to me. No trolling please.
Being trans is deeper than just having male sexual organs and wanting to wear a dress (and something of that sort). It is in your brain and is usually accompanied by body dysmorphia. The idea of being transracial would be based on social construct and there's no evidence of people having actual racial dysmorphia in the same way trans people feel about being born in the wrong body.
Being actually transgender is medically diagnoseable and comes with extreme self-perception issues such as gender dysphoria. Being transgender like the 76 genders that people argue about is completely different has the same merits as being transracial. The OP has a good point, if you accept the Xim Xer people then being transracial shouldn't be an issue for you.
From what I understand, a mother can possibly give birth to a girl or a boy, so it's possible for there to be a biological mixup there, causing gender dysphoria.
However, a white mother can't possibly give birth to a black baby (as far as I'm aware). So there can't be a biological mixup that makes someone feel like they're another race.
Correct me if I'm wrong I'm open to learning stuff.
