At the start of all of this, Donald must have thought that as he has ties with showbizz he would get support from a good amount of celebrities. He is SO pressed that he only has Clint Eastwood, an old white man. So, he is not only extremely jealous, he is also feeling like he's not the BIG star he thinks he is.
He's an idiot. But I can see this message resonating a bit. People already feel celebs should shut up about politics, so him trying to make himself appear as an outsider who didn't need Hollywood support might work.
This is of course ignoring the facts that he had a F-list washed up soap star and the excrement in human form that is Ted Nugent appear for him
