In Australia, "Te Amo" has been sent to Australian Radio as the fourth single from "Rated R" and has been gaining request from many nightly chart shows. This may raise a cloud over the release of "Rockstar 101', considering that "Te Amo" has already been released in Australia, The UK and many parts of Europe. I wonder what she will pick for America. Me being from Australia and "Te Amo" being one of my favourite songs off the album, I am very happy with her/The Labels choice.
I hope she switches the choice to Te Amo in the states. Rockstar 101 did not get the downloads after her Idol performance, proving her audience is not into the Rated R sound. Te Amo is the perfect summer love song, and since Spanish and English are the most spoken languages here, a lot of people can relate to the song in that way too. Another #1.
Damn it!!! I DONT EFFING GET DEF JAM. They release a single to an IDOL performance, the highest ranked TV show in America, and the sales fail to maintain, yet they INSIST on releasing Rockstar 101. Hopefully they can still change this... I don't like it when different countries have different singles.
Usually if a single is sent WW, the US will get it eventually. That's what happened with Paparazzi and If We Ever Meet Again, and it's going to happen like now/soon with Rock That Body. So Te Amo will probably be released here soon. They'll claim Rockstar was just a hype/buzz single or a random performance like Speechless.
Thank god, now I hope they scrap the hell out of RockStar and go dead ahead with Te Amo, I can honestly see this being the song of the latter half of the summer!
I haven't heard a thing about RockStar or the next single so I hope that silence means RS has been put away!
