In any case, after looking at user comments of some sites it seems like 60% of the backlash is because of the Dixie Chicks and about 40% due to Beyonce. They never really forgave the Dixie Chicks for their remarks about Bush.

They can delete if they want but it was a great performance.

What I don't understand is, CMT spokesperson actually said they were TOLD to take own the clip because it wasn't approved by Beyonce's team and when the media reached out to the Beyonce's team, no one responded or denied the official statement that CMT put out. Now, if this is something that Beyonce team instructed and they won't speak out in the midst of this controversy then Nnnnnn. . . .

Also, we know that some people are prejudice--THAT is not now but to label the whole country music crowd as such is premature and the epitome of stereotyping but I'll sit back and wait to see what pans out. . . . .

The CMA rep did not say Bey's team requested them to do all of that; she only addressed one promo video on that was posted on ABC.com/CMA Facebook page because it wasn't approved by Bey's team prior to them posting; they didn't even specify that it was done per the request of Bey's team. This does not explain their deleting every single mention and image of Bey or the Dixie Chicks on their Twitter and Instagram; they completely scrubbed them from each and every social media account with public comments enabled.

There is literally no reason why Bey or her team would request them to delete tweets and Instagram posts and if she had, it definitely would have been explicitly stated by the CMA rep instead of using their agreement with Bey's team and the deletion of a single promo video as a loose deflection for completely wiping everything across their social media platforms.

Seriously? Your response to people stating that people are leaving horrifically vile racist comments about Beyoncé is "who cares, you can't please everybody"? Are you JOKING?
