Rap sucks now because it isn't about lyricism anymore, which is what the entire point was. Now it's more about sound and catchiness (like everything else). And I say this as someone who loves Thugger and Rae Sremmurd and Future and etc myself but aside from like Cole and Kendrick the essence of the rap lyricist is kind of gone now. I mean the biggest most popular rapper out doesn't even write his own rhymes
