I've had terrible acne for 10 years, removing sugar (sucrose, hfcs, even maple syrup and honey - the last one due to allergy) and trans fats from my diet really did the trick.
Idk why people with acne get so angry when someone recommends healthier diet. Junk food destroys our intestinal health, which is VERY important to our immunity. The weaker our immune system is, the more susceptible we are to viruses and bacterias (so, acne), especially when you have oily skin (but I have always had dry skin, so it can happen to everyone).
Not to mention that pre-packaged food can really mess with our hormones (see plastic, cans etc.).
Retinoids did **** for me, were only a temporary solution. Changing my diet>>>>>
