I often see people dismiss her or not credit her enough like they do with the Beatles, rolling stones, Mj etc etc.

I don't see it tbh, among my family and friend she is a legend.

She's definitely seen as a legend. The only difference between her and the rest of the legends of her calibre is that 1) she's still with us, 2) she hasn't retired or semi-retired or become a legacy act, she's still active. So, maybe she gets slightly less credit because of that

Yeah she's definitely a legend, but for example you don't get to hear her tracks/influence referenced that much these days, not even in radio.

Last decade she was referenced everywhere as a legend, this decade she's still like that but idk something changed, could be her recent years of ageism backlash.

I think she's unfortunately in the "washed up legend" category but a legend none-the-less. Because of her recent music, I think people don't take her seriously anymore and she's kind of in the same position Michael was before he died. It's not my opinion, but just an observation. The media and people I witness talking about her never seem to have anything good to say. :/

She's definitely a legend, even if she isn't as relevant these days. People of the older generation are still always playing her music, and you hear them on the radio quite frequently

That and Ageism+Sexism causes her to be discredited a lot compared to legends with more wholesome/family-friendly images.
