Why doesn't Bruno get dragged for cultural appropriation?
Many non-African American artists, such as Miley Cyrus, Iggy Azalea, Robin Thicke and lately even Justin Timberlake, got dragged by both stans and the GP when they started making urban/R&B influenced music and incorporating African-American culture into their videos. Meanwhile, Bruno, who is non-African American, gets away with it frequently and is even embraced for it. Why is that?
All the people you named are white Anyway Miley gets dragged after a producer said in a interview that Miley contacted him saying she wants to make "Black Music", the fact that she tried to make twerking like her own, had black dancers and used them as "props" and how she used to dress. Not my words though.
Iggy gets dragged because of the racist things she's said and how she has a fake rapping accent when she says she's the "realest".
Don't know about JT but Robin gets dragged because of that Paula mess.
He's a mixed puerto rican. He likely has African in his blood. Also, he's not white (which does matter when you're comparing him to all white artists). Let it go.
Bruno has been doing soul music since his early days, unlike literally every other artist you mentioned (maybe aside from JT), who just decided to hop on "black music" because it became cool.
A lot of people seem to think hes black even though he's Puerto Rican. Either way, hes partly black so it isn't as big of a deal as if Miley and Iggy do it... probably because they're both white artists?
People dont even know what he is, look at atrl’ers saying that hes half black and then others saying hes filipino and puerto rican.. some people think he’s hawaiian.
