But the age of consent laws, which govern the limits of pedophilia, also vary around the world. So, in that sense, pedophilia isn't 100% 'wrong' if the two participants, let's say a 16 year old boy and his 30 year old sugar daddy, submit to the situation consensually.
Cause I know at 14 or 15 I wanted some 20-something year olds I saw on TV or my friends older siblings or even their fathers.
There's no clear line in the "age of consent" since everybody grows up differently and each country has its laws. By pedophilia, I meant raping children who don't even know what sex is. Saying yes and any approval is what "consent" means.
So if as you said, a 16 year old wants to hook up with a 30 year old sugar daddy, then it's his body and choice. He might not a "child" by textbook definition.
Sadly, thanks to the way a large part of feminisms plays out in the current climate we can't have any serious discussions about gender ineqaulities in the West anymore.
Instead of looking at gender-specific advantages and disadvantages both genders face in society and coming up with solutions how we could combat them everyone prefers to resport to name calling and one-sided, overemotional and overdramatic presentention of their points.
And this is coming from both sides. Feminists being unable to accept that women are in fact not oppressed in the first world and shouting at everyone who dares to say otherwise. People from the other side dismissing any talk about gender inequalities immediately. All I see is diviseness being promoted. It's nearly impossible to have discussions about this topic anymore because way too few take a level-headed and objective position.

this is spot on!
I used to identify myself as a feminist because that's what is popular, especially on Twitter with people I follow
then I realized the first wave, second wave and third wave feminism, and what modern first world third wave feminism really is and what damage it actually creates instead of solving issues and inequality. That's why I started to explore people, especially atheist youtubers who use scientific facts and statisctics about this topic rather than some religious news sites with right-wing bigots. It all started with my American female friend on Twitter who used to call herself a feminist and then took a 180 turn and started speaking out about the issues these third wave feminism makes. I didn't really like what she was saying at the time, but I kept it in my mind until I discovered youtubers such as Blaire White, Sugar****, etc. and the rest is history. I am still learning about these things since I don't really keep up with SJWs and politics that much, believe it or not nnnn;

I accepted the label "feminist" for a brief while after Emma Watson's UN speech (admittely partly due to the fact that she did play my favorite role in Harry Potter) but also because she did make a lot of sense and I still think her speech was largely on point. However, I got rid off the label when I did take a deeper look in politics, statistics, facts and how the current feminist movement is playing out and how damaging its effects are. This was really the point where I realised that putting a label on yourself rarely ever brings you any good.

exactly! I was just looking at my old Twitter feed where I tweeted about feminism, and I am actually surprised that I wasn't really an SJW type of feminist!
There were people trying to push the idea of how the Kardashians are feminists
At least I tried to save the dignity of the movement because, like you said, I also got sucked in because of people I followed and some of my faves artists such as Marina and Charli XCX, until I also realized how toxic the movement is, or is becoming!
also the fact people DRAGGED Meghan Trainor and Little Mix on my Twitter feed for not labelling themselfs as feminists, I actually was also reasonable and said it's okay, it's their choice not to identify as one if they still work in no harm to hurt progress of women in society. And these annoying SJWs bitches attacked me for it
same thing with Kim K, I asked them what did she do to HELP other women to be considered as feminist, rather than having group of men doing media work for her and her only being a sterotypical "beautiful woman" who is only serving looks, but nothing else to bring and gain for empowerment of women. Promoting unnatural body that costs a lot of money is not empowering women, it's doing the exact opposite and women feel ugly in their skin when someone as Kardashians are being promoted as this "beauty standard" for society.
It's really easy to follow something simply because artists or celebrities you like are doing it too. And of course I don't want to imply that there are no feminists who are reasonable and level-headed because I think there are many out there. But I think they are not vocal enough and perhaps too few to combat the constant bombardment of biased feminist ideology which is pushed in an almost propaganda-like style. As long as feminists will push voices like Anita Sarkeesian to the forefront people will always look at feminism in a negative way. They need representation from level-headed people who can take a look from an honest and unbiased point of view. I thought Emma Watson did a nice job in doing so for the most part but it seemed like she kind of vanished from the spotlight after her speech. Perhaps the inclusion of men's issues in her speech was off-putting to many feminists
I'm not even going into a debate about Kim K I highly doubt she is furthering any kind of female empowerment but I think she can do whatever she wants and if there are enough people who care about someone as vapid as her then she is the smart one in this situation for making all this money off off them.
Love Jaclyn, she's fun. I may not agree with her on everything, but she's real and I love that.
A lot of people lose the plot at just discussing ideas. It's literally so silly to me. So someone doesn't agree with you and you want to flip **** and play victim? The real thing to warrant outrage is where that person does something that actually harms another. I think when we acknowledge that we're all entitled to believe what we believe as long as it doesn't infringe on anybody else's freedom to live freely, we'll be in a better place.
Maybe it's cause I was raised different though. For example, I had a debate with my mom about religion and she asked to stop the conversation cause she didn't want to be converted out of her faith. In those moments, she acknowledged a lot of what I had to say was factual (she's an engineer so she has a soft spot for facts and evidence) and I respected the fact that religion for her was more than a life rule book. It was also a spiritual escape from worldly pains and worries. And I wasn't going to take that away from her. My relationship with my mom is how I think people with opposing viewpoints and lifestyles should interact in a civil society.

Such a lovely and sweet post I believe you're 100% right BUT this kind of thinking should not accomodate some people to feel entitled being wrong. There IS black or white subjects not everything is subjective (obvsiously atheism/religion is not a black or white subject spiritually but there are events described in the Bible that are proven false or impossible. Moïse did not part the Red sea in two for instance)
I would do it, but last time I did, I get a WP for "distruptive" and received a message how I shouldn't be opening threads about islam anymore...
so horrible, No point in threading this tho since everyone who is interested in seeing it will see it here. It'll probably just result in pointless WPs. As if the article wasn't already horrible enough I glanced over the comments and saw this:
Quote:
Wrong pronouns again. The author is clearly confused. Born a male, always a male. "He" and "Him" are the correct pronouns. This was never a "woman."
Sorry to see this guy hacked to death, but what kind of fool would think that the "religion of peace" would tolerate this type of sexual perversion?
Just more proof that Christianity is the way. We'll tell you that homosexual and "transgender" behaviors are wrong, and that these things will keep you out of Heaven if you stubbornly refuse to abandon them. We'll tell you these things because we care about where you spend eternity. But you won't see Bible-believing Christians going around hacking up sinners. Instead, we'll be praying for you to turn from sin, come to repentance and faith in Christ. Because we're all sinners, an no one is more righteous than anyone else -- unless we're clothed with the righteousness of Christ.
read the post again, this time with the unbolded part of the post.
....I did?
Can you not read?
If you think only Muslim trans children are having violence wished on them by their parents, you really don't know **** about the lives of trans folks.
Again, trans folks are the most murdered group in the world, even in secular first world countries. You can't do the "LOLZ LIBERALS WANNA BE OPPRESSED SO BAD, TRY SOME REAL OPPRESSION LIKE MINORITIES FACE IN SAUDI ARABIA" thing that you always try to do to silence minorities you seem to hate by blaming Islam or using a strawman with other countries so "microaggressive examples aren't real problems! move to the ME if you want real problems!!" or w/e (because I don't know you hate brown people and always have to make it about them).
Trans people have the highest rate and likelihood of being violently murdered out of all American citizens. Trans women specifically. With a significant portion done by people the victims know - men they were dating, family. Violence on trans folks is a worldwide epidemic in secular societies and religious societies.

Post me an example of people murdering a transgender person in secular country infront of their parents because they told them to do so on a television channel. I'll wait.
And trans issues and crime news are often posted on ATRL, why not this story?

Your first part is just you being purposefully obtuse as you always are with trying to claim that x, y and z are awful in the Middle East and so anything not exactly like it happening elsewhere can't be considered bad too. You might wanna look up what fallacies mean.
and because your racist ass was called out for making incorrect threads where the people weren't Muslim yet you assumed they were for being brown, where you only posts videos of Muslim examples, and you're seen by most as an instigating troll. Christ.

again you with "racism" bs
I literally do not care about their skin color, I talk about ISLAM and MUSLIMS, not brown people! You're so cringeworthly with your SJW accusations
EDIT: and the only person claims that muslims are brown people, hence why racism is coming from you!
