That's nonsense, there's plenty of alt pop music that's great.
There's also plenty that's not though, and some artists are clearly aiming for pop superstardom and when they flop their stans label them 'alt' or 'indie' (which makes no sense).
There's nothing wrong with calling bad music bad, the artist can hopefully only grow from it.
Blood Bitch is one of the best album of the year.
