Father of boy who tried to sell teddy bear for food sentenced
Quote:
FRANKLIN, Ohio (WRGT) - Michael Bethel, who was charged with child endangering after his son tried to sell his teddy bear for food, was sentenced today.
Bethel, 36, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with seven days of credit for time served. He also will be on probation for three years following his jail term.
"There were cockroaches crawling all over the house and refrigerator, the house was infested with flies and other bugs, there were urine bottles sitting all over the floor that either you or your wife had used," Ruppert said. "There was cat feces under the kitchen table, there were piles of garbage and other disposables. I reviewed the photos and it was an absolutely deplorable, filthy and unsanitary condition that you were raising your children in."
Do you just Google "Teddy" every day and then post the stories like this one that sometimes pop up?
Good though. Sounds like abuse.
