why do some of ya'll have such an idiotic stigma against kpop? there's literally nothing different between a kpop star and beyonce, rihanna, selena, ariana, or the myriad of other popstars who don't write their own music. and actually, a lot of groups nowadays write their own music, some even produce and compose their own music, or co-produce and co-compose. not to mention a lot of them do it without getting paid anything and the industry they're in is absolutely brutal.
the only thing cringe-worthy is thinking that western acts are somehow above kpop acts when they're all in the same goddamn boat.
