I think thats the reasoning why a lot of people are mad... not that she is wearing them but shes wearing them for the wrong reason, not only her but other people too, just using the style of hair or clothing because it's "cute" or because it's gaining popularity among white people. If she wore these braids with respect to the black culture people wouldn't be too angry.
