The fact that Gaga actually reached out to people close to Bowie says a lot about her respect for him. She wanted to do right by him but the people surrounding him are simply assholes. It's not her fault they were douchebags and turned it down. Besides, not matter what she did on that stage, these same people would still be mad about it. "A TOP 40 POPSTAR PERFORMING MY PRECIOUS BOWIE!! NOOOOO, NOT GOOD. ME NOT LIKE!!!"
Gaga = classy, Bowie's people = bitter and unprofessional.
Hopefully this helps him sell a couple copies of his little memoir.
And it got shredded probably even worse than Gaga's tribute
OT: He has a point, they tried to cram too much into too little time. If they wanted a proper tribute, no reason why they couldn't dedicate like 10-12 minutes for it
but this guy right here is annoying, he's making money of Bowie's death by making awful comments off a tribute made by an artist who LOVED David's work. Shameful.
He had a point. There were too many songs crammed in such a short performance.
However, people coming for the theatrics and visuals are actually doing Bowie disservice because those were part of his iconic career and impact on pop culture.
Lorde's wasn't and it was praised by people close to Bowie
I meant the tribute that the Grammys and Intel had in mind. Gaga did her best with what she was offered. This's what she said in a recent interview:
“I don’t know why people compare me to David Bowie, because there will never be another David Bowie and I don’t think anyone is comparable to him."
“I really did not want to do it when they first called me because it was so soon after and I felt very uncomfortable.
“I did my very best to put together something that I hoped would be the showstopper of the night. All I wanted was for when the Grammys were over, for people to talk of nothing but David Bowie, and I think I achieved that.”
"I do want my David Bowie fans in the world that are reading, there was a bona fide group of Bowie kids that adore and love him working on that tribute together, and so much of what we did in that medley was imagery and movement and choreography that was from him exactly."

It was a rushed and cluttered performance for sure but it was done in good will and spirit. What did she have to benefit out of this? honestly what are they complaining or even talking about? They make it sound like she had ulterior motives or gained something substantial out of it (which she did not..it was a tribute like many others. Not remembered.) so what's their point?
