Why do labels always think songs' sales Rihanna already makes money for her label. She is different from another R&B and Pop stars and these slow songs show her power.
She has been getting better and better so I am thrilled to hear about this. I need her to have a smash uptempo album that really solidifies her place as a superstar on the level of Britney, Beyonce, GaGa et al.

^ agreed. Although an artistic masterpiece, rated r is not really "owning" the charts at all. But it still is a great success with two top 10 hits and a number one hit for five weeks.

Rihanna sold 7 million in the time frame from 2007-2008. Susan sold that in like a few months years later when SALES HAVE DECREASED. Susan had NO HITS from the album AT ALL, Rihanna had quite a few and a re-release. Susan's album sold by itself and still outsold the album with like eight singles, and the re-release.
This means 'Te Amo' and 'Rockstar 101' are the final singles from the amazing Rated R. No Fire Bomb. Huge disappointment.
I didn't read why Susan Boyle is compared with Rihanna, because they totally have nothing in common. If you really want to compare their music career, compare Single-wise.

The only one who she is arguably bigger than is GaGa. It's delusional for you to think otherwise. If what you're saying is true, Rated R would never have had any issues selling before "Hard" came out and stabilized it. GGGB was a huge era but apparently it still didn't completely establish Rihanna.

After three #1's US, worldwide and elsewhere, huge sales, being the IT girl quite for a while, I really thought she'd have an established fanbase for this album.
I'm still shocked she doesn't. :/
