I actually am and I still don't understand why that is.
I mean, it's not like Canada and France are close to each other France is basically on the opposite side of the world yet canada speak French. Very interesting tbh.
It isn't because England/Britain is good at snatching the colonies of the others, that the French weren't there.
it's not, but Quebec is very francophone, way more than 50%.
i looked it up and it's fascinating how strong it is there esp in the city of Saguenay (150k citizens), where 98% speaks french and almot as many are catholics!
That's true of nearly any location in Québec, bar Montréal.
