La Banda (English: The Band) is a Latin American singing competition series created by Simon Cowell and produced by Ricky Martin. It is presented by Alejandra Espinoza and premiered on September 13, 2015. The goal of the series is to look for talented young teens to make the next musical phenomenon. Season 2 premiered on September 11, 2016. The judges in Season 2 are Wisin, Laura Pausini and Mario Domm.
I'm struggling to pick 6 band members out of this group
All I know is Zhamira has to be a part of it. She shined in the music video challenge without being over the top like Danelly. Her voice & look >>
She really did. Her and Alondra are the two girls I could see going far.
I predict Christian, Felix and Abdiel will be really popular with the thirsty fans.
I love the show but the producers are racist against Mexicans. They're mostly Puerto Rican's since the auditions.
They forget that Timbiriche, Flans, Jeans, Ov7 and RBD existed and were global. Mexico actually buys music unlike the rest of Latin America.
Mexicans and Puerto Ricans get the most representation on this show, compared to Central Americans who are mostly left out. The fans (including Mexican fans) are the ones who tend to belittle the Mexican contestants.
Last season, Joel Pimentel got a lot of negative criticism for not speaking perfect Spanish and now the same thing is happening with Abel. I've also seen some racist comments towards him because he is black.
King remains unbothered, tho, as the only surviving member from Niveles.

Aimee, Sofia & Taishmara were the weakest of the night, with Aimee being the worst imo.
As of right now, my 3 female picks would be Alondra, Zhamira & either Veronica/Megamy/Danelly.
Veronica wasn't on my radar but her stage presence impressed me. Megamy had the best vocal performance but I'm concerned that her look is too mature for the group. Danelly is a good performer but too over-the-top--but every group needs a polarizing member.
I guess I'm the only one that liked Taishmara's performance. I thought the visuals were cute.
Aimee looked the least confident in the performances, unfortunately. I think either her or Sofia will go. Sofia isn't very popular with the fans ever since they filmed the music videos and she wouldn't film the kiss scene.

Taishmara has the worst voice imo, it's so whiney. I'm annoyed that she got the best stage, while Veronica got the most basic one. Chairs, seriously? She still slayed.
